STEP INSIDE SCOUT, DOWNTOWN’S NEWEST DESTINATION FOR FRIED CHICKEN AND FOOSBALL

Scout, the newest eatery to debut at the newly-revamped Statler Hotel in Downtown Dallas, arrives today.

The restaurant, like all other eateries at the Statler, will be overseen by Chef Graham Dodds, formerly of Hibiscus and Wayward Sons. Scout is quite unlike anything Dodds has ever been involved with, with its upscale sports bar vibe. The spot has its very own bowling lanes, ping-pong, foosball, and billiards tables. The restaurant and gaming destination will occupy a sprawling 12,000 space inside the hotel.

SCOUT, THE STATLER'S NEW 'SOCIAL SPACE,' NOW OPEN WITH BOWLING AND BOOZE DOWNTOWN

Scout is meant to be a destination for groups, and it shows in the layout, which includes clusters of midcentury modern-ish furniture "inspired by a sense of adventure with ties to American national parks and elements of camping woven throughout," according to the release. "The plaid, forest green wallpaper and wood furniture with textured, earth tone fabrics takes guests back to the 60’s and 70’s, but also has modern facets like the neon sign reading 'Booze & Shoes' located above the satellite bar/bowling shoe rental counter in the back of the hangout."

CAMPY NEW RESTAURANT BRINGS RETRO CHARM TO DALLAS’ REBORN DOWNTOWN HOTEL TREASURE

Restaurant group Epic F&B’s fourth food and drink venue at The Statler hotel officially opened this week, bringing a taste of the great outdoors to Downtown Dallas… kind of. Scout is a restaurant, bar and lounge inspired by camping and national parks, but the vibes are more Moonrise Kingdom than Into the Wild – that is to say, more campy than camping.
